Webinar on Armenian-Georgian relations

n June 30, “Anush Klimczyk Foundation” in cooperation with the Georgian Strategic Analysis Center and Armenian Institute for Resilience and Statecraft organized a webinar on Armenian – Georgian relationships.

In the webinar Andrzej Klimczyk, Founder, “Anush Klimczyk Foundation”; Gottfried Hanne, Chief of Cabinet, Political Adviser to the Special Representatives for the South Caucasus; Dr Gevorg Melikyan, Founder and CEO of the Armenian Institute for Resilience and Statecraft; Victor Kipiani, Chairman of the “GEOCASE”; Amb. Daavid Aptsiauri , former Georgian ambassador to China and Dr Eduard Abrahamyan, Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Security Analysis (Armenia) and Teaching Fellow at UCL, London took part.

Webinar was moderated by Nodar Kharshiladze, one of the founders of the Georgian Strategic Analysis Centre.

During the webinar experts discussed in detail the current state of bilateral relations between Armenia and Georgia.

Much attention was paid to the problems on the way to European integration of both countries.

Experts were convinced that both countries, regardless of their current internal political situation, deserve to become members of the European family.

In their opinion, the societies of both countries are in favour of closer cooperation with the European Union. And they link their future with Western standards and democratic values.

To sum up. Exchange of views will contribute to a better understanding of the problems that exist in bilateral relations between Armenia and Georgia.
